I had remembered seeing this during my Scotland trip to the mill in October 2022.
It reminded me of so many things...snowfall against a beautiful baby blue winter's sky, the promise of clouds so fluffy that angels would sit and remain, the colors of the national flag. And THEN I touched it...without a doubt the weave caresses like no other. Fit for a baby or the baby in you. There's a foot of snow on the ground today on Lake Michigan and guess what's around my neck. Love it.

This is a great belt. It’s pretty and functional. I love that it helps fight climate change too.

I loved every minute of this brilliant kick-ass workshop hosted by the brilliant duo Clare and Janey! And I have my very own unique bad-ass panel kilt to show for it. Thank you so much Prickly Thistle team for the super-fun stitch and bitch experience and a fascinating glimpse into workings at the mill (and a chance to try on some of those gorgeous garments).

I love the Pop Thistle slender scarf. It's like cotton candy on a sunny day, its colours. The weave is funky, and it's a fun piece to add when the weather is dark and drab. Thanks Prickly Thistle.

I would definitely recommend these workshops to anyone from total beginner to the more experienced interested in moving to zero waste designs.

The fabrics are so soft and absolutely stunning it really is a tricky choice! the optional tool kit was a lovely touch too.

It was a small group with a warm informal friendly atmosphere and lots of chat and laughter as we worked our way through. Clare was very good at stepping back and allowing you to create your own personal piece but also happy to help rectify any mishaps and ensured I strutted out delighted with my fabulous new jumper and a whole different outlook on fashion and buying.

I loved every second of the workshop and will definitely be back x

When the coat first arrived it didn't fit--it was too tight at the ends of the shoulders. I knew it had to be down to an error on my part, so I emailed Prickly Thistle to see if they could figure out what I'd done wrong. I figured I could at least not make the same mistake again in the future.

They quickly responded and set up a zoom call so we could discuss what was wrong. They concluded that the shoulder measurements I'd provided were too narrow. And then they offered to let me send the coat back and make me a new one. I was floored.

My new coat arrived yesterday and I absolutely love it. The medium weight blue is gorgeous and the drape is lovely. Thank you so much to the Prickly Thistle team for being willing to fix my own damn mistake!

And if you're thinking about ordering a coat and are at all unsure about how to measure your shoulders...don't make my mistake. Send the team an email. They're very nice.
