Just the way you like it

Made to Measure

We can make our garments to your measurements; whether you’re having one of our existing pieces made to fit properly or tweaking one of our styles to make it just the way you like it.

We’ll take your measurements, then you choose from our current range of tartans, sleeve types, neck styles, buckle and strap colours, pockets, and the width and length you want.

Once it’s made, we can ship it to you or you can swing by Rebel Row to pick it up.

It’s very simple: clothes should fit you, not the other way around.

Your story

Tartan Design

Before we design anything, we want to understand the story behind it. We take the time to work with you, uncover the ideas, people, places and memories that matter, and turn that into the starting point for the design.

Once we understand the story, we start developing the tartan. We work from your shared narrative and visual inspiration to build a design that means something to you — rather than simply choosing a pattern off a shelf.

Please do note that a minimum order quantity is required, please get in touch to find out more.

Tartan Weaving

The design then comes to life at our Highland mill. We weave the cloth here on our looms, keeping the making process close to home and the craft at the heart of the work.

Tartan Collections

Need more than the tartan itself? We can take the project through into a whole collection, with in-house design and manufacturing. The existing service covers everything from interiors through to bespoke products.

Brilliance! Pure, and simply, brilliant!

I mean, where to start! Such fabulous people, amazing vision and clothing that is just, astounding! I mean, astounding.

I ordered a custom Wild Robe from Prickly Thistle, and it took a while to narrow down the right tartan, but was treated with patience and encouragement through the entire process. Once chosen, the garments were made quickly, shipped efficiently, and though mine needed some alterations, it was love at first sight!

Clare and Rochelle managed their way through, were just so amazing to work with, and I can only highly, highly recommend a visit to their site, and to their shop on Rebel Row (Union St, Inverness).

From the first moment I stepped into the shop to verify measurements for the alterations, to the last time we stepped out, it just felt so warm and welcoming.

Gorgeous high -quality pieces to last forever

The kilt is absolutely stunning! First and foremost, the quality of both these items is really high. I've visited the mill and can attest to the cratmanship. They are also both beautiful. I bought a green kilt and sweater-vest from Noost. They go beautifully together but also work very well separately. I love both pieces very much, and the story behind them makes it all the better!
