Let customers speak for us
from 695 reviewsEverything from customer service to actual clothes is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. So glad to have such an individual shop in Inverness now
A wonderful shop and a wonderful visit. The owner took time out of her busy schedule to video chat with my wife who was back in the USA, while I was in her shop in Scotland. I strongly recommend a visit to this cool shop.
I am absolutely thrilled with my sensational Pirate Pants from Prickly Thistle. They look amazing, feel fantastic, and are unbelievably comfortable. Every time I wear them, they turn heads—they’re just super perfect and effortlessly cool. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and you can feel the quality the moment you put them on.
The customer service was equally impressive. Communication was clear, friendly, and fast, making the whole experience a joy from start to finish.
If you’re thinking about getting a pair, do it. These pants are a statement piece in the best possible way.
Great experience in the shop. Have worn my top already and looking forward to a chance to wear my lovely kilt.
I wasn't planning on buying a kilt when I walked into the Prickly Thistle/Rebel Row shop, but so happy I invested in a wonderful original dress highland kilt. Such a beautifully unique and versatile piece of clothing. I wore it to a special event recently and received so many compliments! I can't wait to wear it to many more events. And Clare the designer was in the shop that day and really took the time to fit me up properly and explain her work. Fabulous experience!
I adore my drape kilt in the Witches of Scotland tartan design. I’ve been wearing it in Japan and received so many compliments (even from Godzilla). I also support the ethos behind both Prickly Thistle & the Witches of Scotland. Such a fabulous collaboration.
My Rebel Pirate trousers have arrived and I couldn’t be happier. They fit amazingly well, are super comfortable, and look absolutely fabulous. I just love love love these trousers. The quality, the feel, the style — everything is spot on.
Thank you so very much, Clare and the Prickly Thistle team . You’ve made one very happy customer.
What a wonderful day we spent at the mill with Clare.
So very informative, giving a real understanding of the process involved in producing beautiful tartans.
On top of this a beautiful top made for one of my lucky fellow visitors, Clare showed us in a step by step demonstration how to cut and create a beautiful, simple garment.
I would highly recommend this tour.
Robin was incredibly supportive in my visit to the shop, explaining the history and ethos of the company. I passed on to my mum about the courses as well. I really enjoyed my time there.
Love the ethos and values behind the brand. Quality second to none. xx
I was looking for a gift for my tween when I wandered into this shop and I ended up with something for myself as well! Robin was lovely to chat with and very helpful in finding the right skirt for me. I love that they are woman-owned and they design and weave the beautiful fabrics locally. The designs are kilt-inspired but innovative, and multi-use. And the wool is wonderfully soft and not itchy. If you are looking for a socially conscious, unique souvenir from the Highlands, you must visit this shop!
The staff are lovely. The clothes are design originals and are all beautiful. . The tartan weaves and materials are handwoven from pure wool.
The only problem is temptation to buy everything is strong ❤️
And now I look like one.
As usual this item is fabulously perfect! I am never disappointed in the creations by the fierce rebel women of Prickly Thistle xx
