This jacket is the short sister to our coat design which was created to ensure you have an outer garment that turns head.  The tapered arm options allows you to pick your preferred fit of arm, choose from the skinny fit style or bat wing style.  The same rule applies as to the coat, not only will it stop traffic like a planet saving hero but you have the perfect opportunity to say yes this is 100% natural bad-ass goodness, there is zero waste in its making and its regeneration.  Have a nice day now….

What It's Made Of

  • Made with 100% finest natural merino wool
  • Spun and dyed in Scotland
  • Woven into tartan fabrics by us at our Highland mill
  • All labels made from hand cut and laser etched Scottish leather

Who It's Made By

  • Made by bad-ass womxn and men of the Scottish Highlands
  • Proudly preserving century old textile skills and machinery
  • Also proudly disrupting the world of future clothing, we have seen the past and it works!

All of our outerwear items have been designed to have a feature hem line by positioning our drop shoulder points one higher than the other. This creates a cool line of bias, with the garment drop varying from one side to the other. But there is more, you can literally wear this jacket one way, then do a 180 flip and they you have switched your collar to become a feature hemline. Depending on the collar type you selected the overall length of the jacket varies, its our amazing zero waste design principals at work here! To explain the correlation here’s the maths;

Standard Collar Option
Wear Way 1 - Longest drop from shoulder to hem line – 20”
Wear Way 1 - Shortest drop from shoulder to hem line – 15”
Wear Way 2 - Longest drop from shoulder to hem line – 27.5”
Wear Way 2 - Shortest drop from shoulder to hem line – 19”

Double Fold Collar Option
Wear Way 1 - Longest drop from shoulder to hem line – 20”
Wear Way 1 - Shortest drop from shoulder to hem line – 15”
Wear Way 2 - Longest drop from shoulder to hem line – 22.5”
Wear Way 2 - Shortest drop from shoulder to hem line – 14”

Half Fold Collar Option
Wear Way 1 - Longest drop from shoulder to hem line – 25”
Wear Way 1 - Shortest drop from shoulder to hem line – 20”
Wear Way 2 - Longest drop from shoulder to hem line – 22.5”
Wear Way 2 - Shortest drop from shoulder to hem line – 14”

(Wear Way 1 – is where you have your collar at your neck)
(Wear Way 2 – is where you have your collar as a feature hem line, you do the 180 flip!)

For all our outerwear garments we have 3 types of add on options you can select from. You can add a double layer hood, add a left side patch pocket (that also works when worn upside down – honestly its so cool!) and a left shoulder strap and buckle fastening (that also works when work upside down – we know this is a whole other level of multi-size magic!)

Available in the four iconic Element colours and available in all three of our unique fabric qualities which have woven by us in our mill in Scotland. We give you more, with access to the full range of options direct from our planet and people first design archives. These are our bad-ass books of how to always wear your values and look amazing! See full details below.

• Size – Made to Measure all the way! Your jacket will be made to order, then despatched within 2 weeks of the fabric being woven during the 4 X A Year batch period.

• Bust – we require your bust size to ensure that you have just the right amount of fabric to play with as you wrap up in this unique multi-way coat.

• Shoulder to Shoulder – we require this measurement to ensure that you have a generous amount of space for our off the shoulder design to be comfortable with a few layers on :)

• Collar Type – the standard collar is 10” in height, basically its like a huge scarf funnel attached to your jacket. The double fold collar is 5” in height, it’s a double X double layer collar that has a don’t mess with me weight. The half fold collar is also 5” in height but it has just one double layer therefore more fluid than the double fold collar.

• Arm Style – you can pick from two tapered options with this coat. Our skinny fit arm has a length of 19” from the arm top to cuff, and the batwing fit arm has a length of 17.5”

• Bicep Size – by providing us with your bicep we will make sure the arm style you select has the perfect amount of ease. Typically we factor in 4/5” from your bicep, so that you have room for extra layers

• Item Finishing – Double tracked stitching for lasting seams, with branded real leather label specifying the makers batch.

• Fabric Design - The Elements of Endurance Tartan, designed by us!

• Weave Design - repeated throughout the fabric is the alchemy element symbols, earth, air, water and fire, represented in triangle form.

• Fabric Repeat – all fabric has been cut by hand from the cloth roll woven at our mill, therefore aspects of the repeat will be unique to each item, which is pretty cool as it makes them all unique!

• Colour Options - Earth (brown), Air (grey), Water (blue) and Fire (red), each element tartan features four colours from the colour family it represents.

• Fabric Weight Options - Medium (compact and cosy), Heavy (dense and structured), Light (open and delicate)

Here we proudly share with you our less than x 1 mark-up that we apply, and how this garment has been costed.

Most brands in the 'fashion' world add multipliers of x 2 for wholesale then add another x 2 for retail. When you buy direct from us its a less than x 1, we use the profits from everything we create to support more fairly paid jobs and push the textile world to be more eco-conscious. But we do a lot more like donating to charities and education bodies. This is what we proudly call our ethical pay it forward mark up.

The cost breakdown for this garment is;
Fabric Cost £134.70
Labour To Make £110.25
QC, Labelling & Packing £15.00
Overheads (incl insurance, premise costs etc) £51.99
Total Cost To Company £311.93
Free Shipping £30.00
Ethical Pay It Forward Mark Up After Shipping x 0.33 £103.07

Time to Make : 5.5hrs
Cut 0.75hrs
Overlock 0.75hrs
Assemble 3.5hrs
Trim & Press 0.75hrs

For Cost Per Wear (CPW) we just wanted to share how buying less, paying ethical prices, loving and wearing more is actually really affordable, it’s all about the number of wears!

You wear the item 3 times a week for the next 3 years (remember this piece of outerwear can be worn two ways!), that is 468 wears. The CPW is £445 divided by 468 wears, Cost Per Wear 95p!
