Our Very Important Rebel (VIR) Membership has arrived!
Created because we want to be the most accessible, sustainable and special brand for all customers. Now you can save sustainably for the most sustainable tartan collections available in the Scottish Highlands, plus you get access to some VIR exclusives along the way....
VIR Membership Reward Tiers & Benefits Summary;
- All subscriptions up to £35 per month will be gifted FREE points for gift vouchers to the value of 15%.
- All subscriptions equal to £40 and up to £75 per month will be gifted FREE points for gift vouchers to the value of 20%
- All subscriptions equal to £100 and above will be gifted FREE points for gift vouchers to the value of 25%
- All VIR members will be given 1 weeks exclusive notice via email of all new products, given we are artisan makers often these releases can be small in quantities.
- All VIR members will be given an exclusive VIR Membership card. This has been handmade at our mill from upcycled local timber, carrying the mark of a VIR Rebel, our logo. Should you ever visit our mill in Scotland, you will be given a VIR free tour and welcome gift when you show us your card!
Additional Membership Subscription Information
- On every three month anniversary of your subscription we will gift you your FREE points and add these to your personal Loyal Rebel Register account. For example with a £10 membership we will add 90 points four times a year, which equates to an £18 Loyal Rebel Gift. You will also have £120 of points from your paid subscription to redeem.
- Your monthly subscription points will be added monthly upon payment and can be redeemed anytime. For example your a £10 membership we will add 200 points for every payment made.
- At any time you can redeem your points and convert them into vouchers for using on our store, online or if you ever pop into the Mill in the Scottish Highlands. Remember your FREE points are only added on each three month anniversary of your membership, we will email you each time to confirm they have been added.
- When you redeem your points for voucher codes, you can share this with anyone. Just simply use your voucher to purchase a gift voucher online and you can send this to them. Please note all redemption codes are linked to your customer account, and vouchers will only apply when purchasing as a logged in customer.
- Your subscription payment will be debited every 30 days (monthly) from the date of placing your order. With your first payment being the day you subscribe.
- You can cancel your subscription at anytime, however we can only award the VIR points for each completed three month subscription period up to the date of cancellation. Please just email shop@pricklythistlescotland.com to confirm, this email will be used as the formal cancellation notice.
- The FREE points award and your monthly subscribed points have no expiry date on your account.
- There is no maximum number of points any Loyal Rebel Register account can accumulate.
For orders containing additional items intended for Payment Plans (Lay Away or Partial.ly), we suggest that you place a seperate order for your VIR Membership Subscription as full payment of your order will otherwise be processed at the checkout.

I love that I can put back some money per month for future purchases on Prickly Thistle. As a bonus, I even get points towards future purchases! Now I can plan ahead and save for new releases and not miss out on designs I love.
What I love about the VIR Membership program: it allows me to plan ahead and budget for PT purchases, and the bonus points are a great incentive to make my "woolen treasures" budget stretch even farther. What I don't love: currently the checkout system can only process one coupon code per order; the workaround for this is to contact them directly and have them process multiple coupon codes in the same order. Also, the monetary value conversion to points seems superfluous; it would be preferable to have my monthly membership amount converted to a 1USD/1GBP = 1 point equivalent. Customer Service has always been top-notch when I've had hiccups or questions! I'll definitely be continuing with the program and look forward to great things ahead!
I love everything about this company so far. The customer service is top notch, the team have helped me manage my VIR membership multiple times in multiple ways, most recently transferring my points and setting up my first tartan orders!! Woohoo!!!! I am WILD about the fact that they limit orders to 4 times a year, and have a limited amount of garment options that they have perfected. I’m a very conscientious consumer, but hey, I still love to shop, and this way it really has to be intentional. Not only that, but the VIR membership allows me to whet my appetite each month when I get rewards, trying to decide when and how to cash in my credits. I think it’s a brilliant system and a necessary leap in the direction of Slow Fashion which our planet desperately needs. Bravo Claire and Team :)
